Maybe you can help resolve a debate some friends of mine were having. It seemed to those involved that quite often their first exposure to Albert Camus _The Stranger_ occurred in middle school--eighth grade or so--and the question was whether this was common to our generation overall or simply a localized phenomena; an interesting quirk of our respective childhood school districts. And if this may have had a cultural impact of some sort.
