Well...you are playing "cool, calm, unassuming". I'm doing
the artist/scientist. There are only so many roles to play in theater.
Richard needs to differentiate himself in tone...if that means being
a little edgy sometimes, well, he serves where needed. A symphony
sometimes needs a shock to keep people from falling asleep.
