No, like a snug glove, the analogy fits its purpose and no more.

Perhaps they have lowered their standards until they are easily achievable, or perhaps even already achieved. You want to take the analogy farther than it works. I don't care if somebody wants to label me a "hypocrite." and few other than the labeler would care either, though I am sure the deer would rather not be shot. At least my shortcomings are not deliberate and intentional. In both the analogy (hunter with rifle) and in real life, the
"hunter" has nothing to show that is worthy of any respect.
