I wonder what meme it is that has Clinton continually saying "no ground troops". I can understand screwing around, but why this policy? Of what benefit is eliminating this option so publicly?

About the "Force Meme" - I must admit it that I agree it is the only one currently understood by Milosovic that I am aware of. All the years that I was much more passive (read anti-military) I could not understand why people would say "all they understand is violence" about people like Saddam Hussein. I was in denial that people could have goals so utterly opposed to peace. It took a long time to realize that there are people in the world who put power ahead of peace, and so far in history, violence has been the only means of dealing with this type or leader.

Does anyone have an alternative that is viable?
