Deception is the devil's area of expertise, such an undertaking would be a demonstration in deception. The fundamentalists and fanatics, deceiving audiences, would run this thing into the ground. New ways of identifying and preventing 'evil' would be invented. The H-Bomb meme. This would launch practices such as ethnic cleansing, holocausts, racism, sexism, etc. to bloody heights NEVER before imagined, attained, or witnessed in history. Of course I wouldn't want to be on the planet if(not when!) this happens.

If used positively and controlled I'm sure it'd work.

Keeping God out of the picture would break down barriers of intolerance, hate, suspicion, and prejudice,i.e. if one takes the view that we are all children of one God. But...

It could only work if people critically studied their religion but how many really do that?

Either way you go the outcome would be most explosive!

Blasting Caps can and do have ways of going off in your hand.
