Like I said: Yes, a test bed. "Moderation" is a security feature that can be used to see if whoever's registering to vote has "at least made an introductory post to virus" (or whatever criteria MIGHT be set up in the future... or not; but even virus has the potential to have moderation "turned on and off" I would think. And, the moderation CAN be turned off. I think it is a good feature/ might come in handy).

Good to see that anyone can't just drop in to vote...

I would still like for David to turn on the voting option with the official virus listing on the egroups site, then ballots etc. would be sent through the regular virus listserv and everyone would be kept updated...

Yeah, I subscribed, but when I try to access, it says I'm not a member. I guess that means you have to OK every candidate (Sorry, no. Kills the dynamics). On the other hand, the fact that there is a moderator (whether that can be turned off or not) already makes this a non-starter as far as I'm concerned, although as a temporary test bed...?
