If Santayana is implying that the ultimate reasons for founding
a religion can't be rational I'd have to agree for the simple
reason that axioms by definition cannot be logically derived.
Virus was founded under the assumption that it is better to
believe the truth than to find comfort in a falsehood. Is this
value rational, irrational or arational?
