There seems to be a great deal of confusion about how to
unsubscribe from the Virus mailing list judging by the number
of requests sent to the list and me personally. (The majordomo
list software tries to intercept these kinds of messages sent to
the list before they are distributed to all the subscribers
by examining the first few lines for keywords like "unsubscribe"
but people still manage to bypass this feature with creative
typos like "unscribe".)

To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@lucifer.com with
"unsubscribe virus <address>" in the body of the message
(subjects are ignored). If you send the message from the same
address that is subscribed to virus you can leave out the
<address> part of the command.

If you have web access, you can unsubscribe using the form
at this URL: http://www.lucifer.com/cgi-bin/virus-l
