What makes you think that there is no information in entertainment?

I think of entertainment as a nexus of all of a cultures anxieties,
hopes, fears, myths about themselves... the list goes on.

How can you possibly think there is no information in this?

Granted-- Pac Man is fairly low brow as far as culture goes, but I'll
bet Roland Barthes would find someting to say about it.

Post Modernity has forced us to broaden our definition of information
and perhaps even erase that line between entertainment and info.
