I apologize in advance belatedly to the list, but...
This was a quote from the movie "Repo Man". The wacko character Miller is
giving this long, weird soliloquy including the quoted passage; and the
listening character (Otto) interrupts to say,
"Did you do a lot of drugs, Miller, back in the hippy days?"
I recommend this movie to everyone. The reality premise is that everything
you read in the Globe or the Enquirer is true.
(These are the tabloids with headlines like "Elvis decodes Lost Gospel
of Jesus, predicts imminent return of Nostradamus")
