What does 'xian' mean?

"What does the abbreviation 'xian' mean? Is it an insult?"

"Xian" is short for "Christian", in the same way that "Xmas" is short
for "Christmas". The letter X represents the initial letter chi of the
Greek 'kristos', meaning "Christ". It's not an insult.

Another variant often seen is "Xtian".
