Sorry, my mistake. Interesting question here: Just how different are:
1) "_Knowledge_ of Good and Evil" (the actual "thing" gained in the
orginal sin)
2) Mankind is capable of evil (what I thought I said)
Is the difference even worth mentioning?

Exactly. This is why my aunt (the fundamentalist atheist, :-) maintains
that the "Holy Spirit" is nothing more than Big Brother living inside
the head of the beleiver. Since our consciousness is inescapable[1] ,
and consciousness is the orginal sin, I'd say that Christianity really
does shakle your brain pretty bad.
