If we are talking about the _experiment_, then I am correct with my last
statement, yes?

(Popper aside. And there are people who will actively oppose Popper.)

If we are talking about the _theory_, then experiments are set up to
disprove the theory, and your statement, the second, seems apt.

I ain't missed nuthin'.

The experiment is not the theory. (Except in para-sciences....)
