Allowing 1 and 2, 3 becomes, for all intents and purposes, the very Level
3 of which we are also speaking.

I would suggest 3 is a big step, and the one where 'memetics' (whatever
that is) holds sway. It may also be culturally a useless enterprise to
explore. A mirror up to the mirror....
