Well, we could look for a new terminology to use. (One completely
unrelated to chanting Tibetan monks, of course!!! ;-)

Eva has offered us a starting point with memes. David, could you do the
same with by giving us a synonim for "faith" and "rational" and "reality"
that is more technically percise to your purposes? (Make a word up if you
have to!) It may help.
