I'm not a mathematician, and don't pretend to be, but this discussion has
tickled something on some intuitive level with me- can't say whether this
is good or bad or indifferent, but for some reason I think there is some
merit in this 3_D (x-y-z) analysis, and, yes, I am starting to see some
actual relation/meaning to the vector stuff.

Feel free to supply some pretty pictures soon, I react even better to
those....

(And a guy actually got me to understand some very bizarre brain
chemistry stuff with a computer simulation- seeing the math work is a
marvelous thing, and to a non-mathematician, a necessary thing. I have
always regarded mathematicians in the same way I regard true musicians-
people capable of 'hearing' the 'music' from the 'notes'. Suffice it to
say, I need to hear the concerto, not just see the score.)
