As someone who supports assisted suicide for anyone above 13y/o who
requests it, I must say that having a friend killing himself (he was not
in CoE like me, plain clinically depressed) hurts. I could fry the
alt.suicide.holiday guys saying "cool, well done" thinking I'll never see
him again; that I was the last to talk to him, and that I knew he won't
live for long, even though I didn't guess he had had only 7 hours.
I cannot explain the religion of death. On one hand I encourage everybody
to kill themselves; On the other hand, I would try to talk anybody out of
suicide if he considers it. I failed only once, and it hurts. Was my best
friend.
