<< When the stream of creativity that is damned up with this
insanity, is it any wonder that we have so many people taking prozac and
zoloff? The questions that need to be asked is what can "memetics" do
for me, How can it empower me and how do I start? Or is it just another
mindless exercise in Intellectual futility. >>

well put.
you asked the question: what does memetics do for me, how does it empower me?
Do we really need to create a church of virus to advertise "the new science of
the meme?" and i doubt memetics is a science. all the intellectuals flocking
to their linear algebra books searching for vectors and equations and
formulas. memes are memes, not a math problem.

How does memetics empower me?
I am satisfied to daily watch memes in action. I think the systematic nature
of memetics allows me to view how memes work and spread. my mind is slightly
more clear since i read about memes. memetics allow me to choose and sort
ideas in my belief space. thats the most power ive had in a long time.
