Richard did a double whammy on me. I will take the time to nurse my wounds
and return to the fray.
By the bye I have been visiting a place called Ultima Online for the past
two months. As someone who is interested in memetics but does not claim
professional status as an engineer I see this as a seething cauldron of
meme generation. It is a new frontier. A virtual world where the
inhabitants are in the same struggle with/against the creators.
Perhaps there is a parallel. Having been interested in computers since
1979, I have watched the relationship of computer user to computer artist.
Those who create software are to my mind artists...
Now perhaps Richard can claim the title of performance artist... but who
knows. There are several other former (?) list members who might have
pulled this off.
Whatever. Whoever. However. The juices got stirred again.
Marie, who in Ultima Online is Lady Casey, Master Warrior and whenever she
slays a dragon, she puts the face of her most recent human tormentor on the
beast...
