Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Problem with 3D's is that "eigenspace" presupposes N or even infinite
dimensions. A plane would be a 2-dimensional eigenspace; our 3-D space is
a 3-dim eigenspace.
So, to speak of a meme-complex such as 'christianity' as represented as an
eigespace, perhaps you could imagine several dimensions of it
Dimension 1 - No god..............One god
Dimension 2 - Loving god..............Revengeful god
Dimension 3 - Happiness on earth..............Happiness in the afterlife
Dimension 4 - Death ends existence..............Immortal soul
Dimension 5 - Afterlife in heaven/hell..............Reincarnation
Dimension 6 - One god..............Several gods
etc.
Note that not all dimensions must be filled. For example, "no god" for D1
would destroy the need for D2 and D6. Death ends existence in D4 would
make D5 moot.
