In the future the internet is going to be the place where we buy
everything, meet friends and talk to people. If we let one company like
microsoft own all this we would be in very deep trouble indeed.

My current situation is that I do have windows 95 installed on my
machine because I use it fo software that requires windows (Quake2 is
the one I use most) but for most of my day-to-day use I use an operating
system called Linux. inux is a unix clone that has almost all the
software that windows has. It has a GUI called X-Windows which in my
opinion is designed better than the microsoft product. It is also FREE
so you don't have to shell out 's on the product like the microsoft
version.

I would advise everyone to use this for internet access for 2 reasons
1)its faster - with less added applications like windows the operating
system won't slow down the modem speed

2)Microsoft won't be able to get all the information from your system
everytime you connect to one of their websites (hotmail is included)
