Ahh, so I guess you dont watch. No other races do not speak English in Star
Trek, There is a device in called a Universal Translater (Yes, it is Sci Fi
after all - I can tell the difference) and the premise of the device is that
most verbal languages work in a similar fashion.
As for sounds in a vacume, there is no sound in star trek space explosions when
they are in space - a aspce suit for instance. If they are in the ship, the
sounds you talk about would be the result the ship buffeting the blast, not the
explosion itself. In fact, if you watch regularly, you will find few
inconsistencies.

HOWEVER - I like it as FANTASY. I dont pretend it is real. I do not make
decisions based upon it.
