What many people don't realize that is lately there have been MANY
discoveries
that prove the historicity of the Book of Mormon.
If you would like I can search around and find examples but it will
probably take me a few hours.
I can recommend a book for you right off the bat: "Images of Ancient
America: Visualizing
Book of Mormon Life" by John L. Sorenson. The book compares the people of
mesoamerica with excerpts from the Book of Mormon describing them (keep in
mind that
in 1830 when the Book of Mormon was published there was little or no
knowledge of
ancient mesoamerican culture.
