To quote the biologists literature -- assuredly, many more mutations occur
which are detrimental to the heath of a species than will ever occur which
improve it, and only through the *harsh* sieve of natural selection can
"progress" occur. Unfortunately, humanity is in the process of eliminating
natural selection from it's population... draw your own conclusions.
