On the other hand, I am a Buddhist. (Though I don't often do
any of the things you think of as "organised religion".) And
I have to say that the way Richard talks about *his*
enlightenment meme, it sounds awfully like what enlightenment
means to me. The quietist, passive public image of Buddhism
is quite misleading. I've been looking into NLP recently, and
I find it highly consistent with Buddhist principles, and I'm
an extremely happy host of the NLP meme of "personal power"!
