I mean understanding is more important to me than contentment
(otherwise I could become a fundamentalist whatever and bask in
the approval of my blindly self-righteous peers). You do have a
point, however. I am unhappy with the state of not-knowing. This
means I have the desire to question everything, and to decide the
answers for myself based upon reason, rationality and logic rather
than faith and the automatic acceptance or rejection of others'
opinions based upon who or what they are or are not (while
recognizing that such a thing as expertise exists, although it is not
the same as infallibility). I also sincerely hope this dissatisfaction
with ignorance in myself and in others continues; it is an incentive to
learn, and to teach. Apparently you feel the same way; it's beyond
