Not that I know of. The "More virian propositions" and "David's Top 10"
threads started when I claimed that memetics was part of a meme-complex
(the metameme) which is an all-encompassing belief system, and that people
into memetics would adopt a similar beleif system and look at various
issues from a similar perspective. Tim R. claimed that for me to try to
make an all-encompassing belief system out of memetics was just a way of
unnecessarily putting myself inside a mental prison and he suggested that
it's possible to live in a land without walls. Maybe he's right, but I
haven't seen a good argument for it, yet. --David R.
