One of the ploys so-called "ordinary language" philosophers have
used in debate is to continually exclaim "I don't understand you," the
implicit claim being that the interlocuter was not being clear. This
makes the other person responsible for their lack of understanding
(inability to explain), rather than their own inability to grasp.
