I think I could speak for him in saying that fraud should be
illegal. - and the reason is that it takes too long for the market place
to propagate the information that a particular product is
shoddy/faulty/dangerous etc..

Are Memes ever disprovable? ... certainly ... but the harder they
are to disprove the more likely they are to survive. Thus an apple a day
vs. Apple Jacks - they're good for you. (instead of my all time favorite
... part of this complete breakfast).
