One penetration method of a meme/virus is conditioning so I don't
think a meme can really be "un-memed" simply because someone can
afford to throw it in our faces every 10 minutes.

A successful meme can be gauged by its proliferation, influence on
behavior, AND longevity.

If you find a good scientific way to track a meme and these three (or
so) traits there will probably a place for you in the history books.
