This is an interesting set of notions you've provided for entertaining the
mind.
I thought you might enjoy entertaining your mind with another set of notions:

The generic army boot: a symbol of trust

Black in color: represents a darkness that cannot exist without light -
being the
absence thereof.
Laces: those things which bind our concept of reality to that which is only
as it is
- in all its glory
The sole (read as you like): that which is in contact with earth, but
somehow both
forms a barrier and yet joins two parts - one dynamic with one perceived
(by many)
not to be.
Army: Concept entirely of man's own invention - unnecessary to something
without
limit.
Boot: protection for the foot from wear, tear, and cold
Generic: what part of you is not a part of God?

The good news is that there never has been a need for good news. Our
culture has
somehow chosen to form petty beliefs that man is somehow not a part of all
that is,
and therefore in need of repair. Entertaining indeed.
