Hi, I am on the mailing list, and do not wish to be taken off of it. Although I delete about 3/7ths of it (no time) I find the list full of occasionally provocative thoughts.

(I also suggest that people using @hotmail, @netcom, and @AOL/Compuserve
be double-checked, by hand. These are common list-clogging/spam/revenge etc sources of addresses. Not that *I* will volunteer! :-) )

The sun's magnetic field is about as strong as the Earth's. Thus, for a
gigantic star it is relatively weak. However, strong magnetic fields are
formed between the sunspots which mostly occur in pairs. During an erruption
electrically charged particles are hurled out from the sunspots.
