I thought Douglas Adams had these answers, but apparently the Avatar of
Frustrated Belligerence in Hir Glorious Manifestation as the E-Mail Guru
and Web Creature of the Week beat him to the punch here. Can we be any more
blatantly fin-de-sciecle than this, herr author? Are you a retired
Objectivist -- or maybe a reincarnation of Ayn Rand in a bad mood?

OK. Finished venting.

No, on second thought, I'm not.

Replace "science" in the above quote with _any_ ideology or practice.
Biochemistry. Hinduism. "Sarin attacks on anyone with even half a
percentage of Jewish blood in their family line."
This is a recipe for fanaticism -- nothing more nor less -- and it has
NO place in any open-ended discussion of ideas or of LIFE, unless we are
aiming at the production of zealots. If this were a discussion thread on
tactics of memetic warfare, I'd welcome the comment, but the last time I
checked, this was not the "Army of Virus."

"...are doomed to repeat it," but they still don't learn.
