Software product A writes a pattern of bits to a disk. Product B takes
those patterns and reconstructs an approximation of the intent of
Product A. This approximation does not necessarily have anything to
/do/ with the intent of Product A. Communication occurs when the intent
of Product A and the interpretation of Product B are similar enough.
Miscommunication occurs when there is assumption clash on the part of
one or the other products (ie. I can more a binary file).

One need not replicate code to reproduce approximate processes in
various dislocate CPUs.

The Mekton is a powerful tool, both physically and emotionally.

Of all the weapons of the Empire, the greatest and most respected
were the Metal Knights. These Knights had served the leaders of the
Bendar for Generations, righting wrongs and bringing fear to the
Empire's Enemies. It is said that these metal giants were shaped
like men so that the alien servants of Evil would know that it was
Man who defeated them.
