I think a study of the effects on groups of people would be more productive
than a study of the effects on individuals. Once specific memes are
identified and there effects on groups are better understood than the
resolution could be refined to a single person.
I think memetics in this manner would have to parallel the transition from
newtonian to quantum level physics, thermodynamics etc.
