Hi everone.
I'm pretty new to this list. a friend told me about it and I decided to
subscribe. Some of the idears being discussed in this list are a bit
weird. On the main www.lucifer.com page I saw an artical about how the
devil was the voice that spoke out against God's evil ambitions. This
is a very hard concept to come to terms with in the first place but I'm
an atheist so it's pretty much impossible for me to belive that although
the idea of it seems cool.

I printed the artical out and showed it to a friend of mine who is a
christian and he said I was a devil worshiper and sould be arrested.
This set me back a bit because I thought about it - getting arrested for
what you belive in. This should never happen to anyone weather their a
satanist or not. I'm not a satanist and although I've only been reading
this list a short time I don't belive anyone else on here is but it just
amazed me how closed minded the rest of the world could be when they are
faced with something new.

Why is this happening even today??? Science has proved that ideas that
are sometimes classed as "crazy" have now been accepted as fact. Why is
the same thing happening today. Haven't people learned by now that new
ideas only inprove our understanding of the world and ourselves. I'm
not saying that all of "In praise of Lucifer" is true, in fact I don't
belive a lot of it but maybe through reading and discussion of things
like this we can reach a better understanding of religion and ourselves
