There is a program called "Columbine Bookmark Merge"
which I have used and it is easy, fast, fun, and
functional! With it, you can set up a rating
system, click on a page, save it as a link, rate the
page, and automatically generate a links page that
shows the ratings of every page you visit. The
page is saved in netscape, ie3 or 4, mosaic, and a
few other "bookmark" formats (and converts from one to the other with a
single click); is formatted in one of
3 or 4 output styles (columns, outline, resume,
ratings...); and saved as an html file that can be
easily ftp'd to a webpage. If someone used it to
rank the archives and put the page up as a links
page, others could click on the links and confirm
the ratings (somehow). I recommend it highly-- free
download, great interface. Someone put up a links
page to the archives, please! (I would but have
changed over to the webtv and can't even dl the
program).
