I do not know much about the Y2K, but some of the problems I have heard of sound
fairly realistic. (for example the problems with nuclear power plants.) Even
if none of these problems come to pass, the panic in the preceeding months and
days could be interesting. I think there may certainly be some minor exodus and
hoarding in most major cities. The real or at least realistic problems will
certainly give a boost to the hysteria surrounding any meme/collective
unconscious scares.
