Just to clarify, I don't mean to suggest that this kind of
fundamentalism in typical where I live, in my family (my
uncle converted in his early 20's), or even in the Mormon
church (as far as I know, Mormons in general have no problems
seeking medical help when necessary).
The reason for bringing this up was not so much to make a point,
it was to ask for guidance. What should be done in this kind of
situation? Should we let people believe whatever they want even
if it appears to be self-destructive? Are we really so sure that
we're right and they're wrong? Is that question even meaningful?
